FAQs

Do you offer virtual or in-person appointments?

Services are offered on-site and/or through telehealth (phone and video) dependent on your comfort level.

How does parent consultation work?

Because each family is unique, counseling will vary depending on presenting concerns. We tailor the therapeutic approach to your specific needs. One hour sessions usually last about 50 minutes, giving your therapist 10 minutes to complete notes and planning.

During sessions, we will talk about your concerns. You will be asked about family activities, life events, and relationships, as well as your long and short term goals for your family. Based on your goals, we provide strategies (developed in partnership) to support you and your child.

How long will it take?

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of time we work together to accomplish your goals depends on the severity and complexity of the problems, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling/support in the first place.

I want to get the most out of therapy. What can I do to help?

Being dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions is a great first step. Your active participation and dedication will be crucial to your success.
