Registered Psychologist/Provisional Psychologist

Description of Role

We are currently seeking a Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist to support children, adolescents, and families. This part-time contract position primarily involves delivering therapeutic intervention with occasional work in psychoeducational assessment and co-facilitation of therapeutic groups for children and youth. The ideal candidate is experienced, collaborative, and dedicated to neurodiversity-affirming care. The psychologist will work closely with children and families, supporting a variety of developmental, emotional, and learning needs.

We are committed to strength-based, inclusive, and evidence-informed care. We offer a welcoming environment, administrative support, and a collaborative team culture that encourages both professional autonomy and peer connection.

Compensation

  • Competitive fee split model

  • Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling

  • Gradual caseload build, with referrals provided based on fit and availability

  • Given the child and adolescent population, after-school, early evening, or weekend availability is preferred

  • Administrative support includes intake, scheduling, and billing

  • Fully furnished welcoming clinical space

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)

  • Provisional psychologists must have external supervision already in place

  • Appropriate professional liability insurance

  • Primary experience supporting children and adolescents in therapeutic and assessment contexts

  • Demonstrated competence in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized assessment tools, including intellectual and academic measures (e.g., WISC-V, WIAT-IV)

  • Experience co-facilitating therapeutic groups for children is an asset

  • Knowledge of and comfort with neurodiversity-affirming practices

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, family-centered approach

  • Ability to work independently with high professional standards
